What's the deal with Plympton Poultry?
You may have heard we raise pastured poultry during the summer. We do this as a partnership with a neighboring farm, Bogside Acres. Since raising and selling chicken is a joint effort we decided to create a dedicated brand called Plympton Poultry. Last year you could purchase chicken through the Revival Farm website or in person if you caught us at Sauchuk's Farm Stand. These options are still available this year, but you can also visit our dedicated chicken website plymptonpoultry.com. Here you will get access to all things chicken including the following information:
- CSA share sign ups guaranteeing you fresh chicken throughout the season.
- A calendar with pick up dates so you know going into the season when fresh chicken will be available.
- The ability for you to pre-order both whole chickens and chicken pieces ahead of time so we don't sell out of what you want.
- Plus, when we have frozen chicken in stock you can order from us year round.
Did you happen to notice the first bullet point?! Yep, that's right, we are now offering CSA shares! Not sure what that means? Here, is an explanation:
If you purchase one of the two options available, you are guaranteeing 5 chicken orders through out the season. For the 2018 season, orders will be available for pick up at Sauchuk's Farm Stand on June 2, June 30, July 28, August 25, and September 22.
Share includes 10 whole chickens weighing between 4 and 5 pounds each. You will receive 2 chickens on each pick up date.
Share includes a total of 5 variety chicken packs. Each pack will be approximately 10 pounds and will include items such as whole chicken, split chicken, chicken breast, chicken thighs, chicken wings, chicken legs or a bone broth kit.
